Every year, the brocante vide-greniers of Guémené-sur-Scorff brings together around 300 exhibitors in the town center of this small town of character in inland Morbihan. The event transforms the medieval alleys into a huge open-air flea market, attracting thousands of visitors from all over the department.
Former stronghold of the Rohan-Guémené, the commune has about 1,100 inhabitants and retains a remarkable heritage: remains of the feudal castle, half-timbered houses, and the famous Bains de la Reine (Queen's Baths), witnesses to medieval hygiene. The town is also famous for its andouille de Guémené, an emblematic charcuterie specialty of Brittany.
The town center, with its squares and alleys, offers a picturesque setting for this day of bargain hunting. Refreshments and food are available throughout the day. The event is also an opportunity to discover the town's architectural heritage and stroll along the Scorff river.
