Each year in April, the commune of Dangeau hosts one of the largest flea markets in Eure-et-Loir: the Dangeau flea market and car boot sale, which brings together up to 400 exhibitors in the Rue de la Mairie and the Champarts housing estate. Individuals and professionals mingle to offer furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, clothing, and all sorts of objects in a spirit of popular and friendly treasure hunting.
The event takes place from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, with exhibitors able to set up from 6 am. Registration is mandatory, at a rate of €2.50/m. Please note: any spot not occupied by opening time may be allocated to another exhibitor.
With its 400 exhibitors, the Dangeau flea market is a benchmark event in the Centre-Val de Loire region. This density of stalls guarantees visitors an exceptionally varied offering, ranging from characterful antiques to simple everyday objects, including old books, vintage toys, old tools, and clothing from all eras. Dangeau (28160) is a commune in Beauce percheronne, a transitional area between the Beauce plain and the Perche hills. Located in the canton of Brou, between Chartres and Châteaudun, Dangeau benefits from a central location in Eure-et-Loir which encourages attendance at its events. The village retains some traces of its medieval past, notably its Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens church, a listed historic monument.
