Issou September Flea Market

A second annual flea market in Issou

Following the growing success of the late May Everything Fair, Issou's festival committee organises a second event in September at the Château Park. This back-to-school flea market allows people to enjoy the last good days before autumn, in a green setting already familiar to local collectors. It's also an opportunity for residents who couldn't exhibit in May to empty their cellars, attics and garages before winter.

As for the May fair, the event unfolds in the alleys of Issou's Château Park, a wooded space at the centre of the village. The large trees, beginning to change colour, offer a photogenic and pleasant setting for a day of browsing.

A back-to-school atmosphere

The September flea market has its own particularities. It comes just after the school return, when many families are sorting children's items: outgrown clothes, unused toys, childcare equipment, children's books. There's therefore a particularly interesting offer for families with young children, rounded out by the usual village flea market fare.

Issou, a rural village at the gates of Vexin

Issou is a commune of nearly 3,500 residents on the right bank of the Seine, at the foot of slopes announcing the French Vexin. Its rural setting, landscaped park and proximity to Meulan-en-Yvelines make it a pleasant place to spend a few hours.

A community event to support

Like the spring fair, this flea market is entirely organised by Issou's festival committee volunteers. Proceeds from stands and refreshments help fund other community events throughout the year.
