Hornoy-le-Bourg Flea Market (September)

A réderie in a canton capital

Hornoy-le-Bourg, a commune of about 1,500 inhabitants and canton capital of eastern Vimeu, hosts its annual flea market each September. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday 13 September. On a human scale, this réderie draws exhibitors from across the Vimeu and neighbouring Ponthieu, as well as bargain hunters from Amiens, Abbeville and the Picard coast.

A varied bric-a-brac

Between the stalls you'll find what makes Picard réderies charming: old furniture, tableware, tools, books, period toys, vinyl records, vintage clothing, trinkets, old decorations and everyday objects. Private sellers make up most of the exhibitors, complemented by a few semi-professional dealers. Prices are gentle, haggling friendly, and finds plentiful for anyone willing to take their time.

A village celebration

The flea market is also the occasion for a festive day at the heart of town. Local shops welcome visitors, and on-site catering offers fries, sausages and hot or cool drinks depending on the weather. Residents use the opportunity to meet, while outside visitors discover this discreet but endearing corner of the department.

The Vimeu, land of tradition

Hornoy-le-Bourg sits at the gateway to the Vimeu, a historical region dedicated to lock-making and taps since the 19th century. The rural heritage is rich: village churches, traditional flint farmhouses, rolling countryside. A visit to the area after the flea market — towards Poix-de-Picardie, Airaines or Oisemont — pleasantly extends the day. Easy access via the D901 from Amiens.
