Brocante Vide-Grenier of Camarès

The Brocante Vide-Grenier of Camarès once again took over the streets and squares of the town center for the 2025 edition, on May 8th. Tixier, Foirail, and Pont Vieux squares, Barry street, and the quay along the Dourdou were transformed into a vast open-air flea market, hosting over a hundred exhibitors who came to offer their finds to early-morning bargain hunters and day-trippers.

The stalls offered the usual variety of large rural car boot sales in Aveyron: antique tableware and ceramics, books and magazines, clothing for the whole family, toys and games, DIY tools, small furniture, trinkets, and decorative objects of all kinds. The savviest visitors arrived right at opening at 9 am to spot the best deals, while strollers enjoyed the warm and relaxed atmosphere throughout the day, characteristic of Aveyron village festivals.

The refreshment stand and on-site catering allowed everyone to recharge between discoveries, in the enchanting setting of Camarès. The murmur of the Dourdou flowing under the 11th-century Pont Vieux, the red sandstone facades, and the Rougier hills outlining the horizon provided an exceptional heritage and natural backdrop for this popular treasure-hunting day. The May 8th car boot sale confirms year after year its status as a must-attend event for bargain hunters and families in southern Aveyron.
