Grand flea market on Whit Monday in the streets of Vic-sur-Seille
The brocante of Vic-sur-Seille is a major event in the Saulnois region, organized every Whit Monday by the Foyer Georges de La Tour. From 5 am to 5 pm, around 200 exhibitors take over the streets of this small town of character over a 4-kilometer circuit. Refreshments and food available on site. Vic-sur-Seille, birthplace of the painter Georges de La Tour, is a former episcopal city of 1,500 inhabitants with remarkable heritage, located in the heart of the Saulnois.
Every Whit Monday, the brocante of Vic-sur-Seille transforms the streets of this small town into a vast open-air market. Approximately 200 exhibitors set up along a 4-kilometer circuit that crosses the historic center. The event, which starts as early as 5 am, attracts early morning bargain hunters from all over the department. The Foyer Georges de La Tour, organizer of the event, offers refreshments and food on site.
Vic-sur-Seille is a small town of 1,500 inhabitants, a former episcopal city and the birthplace of the painter Georges de La Tour (1593-1652), master of chiaroscuro. The town preserves remarkable architectural heritage: medieval ramparts, a Romanesque church, half-timbered houses, and private mansions. The Musée départemental Georges de La Tour exhibits works by the master and his contemporaries.
