Large annual flea market and car boot sale under the arcades of the bastide of Montréal-du-Gers, Most Beautiful Village of France
For over three decades, the bastide of Montréal-du-Gers has hosted a large flea market and car boot sale each year in its Place de l'Hôtel de Ville and under its medieval arcades. Organized by the association La Flamme de Montréal, this event is in its 33rd edition in 2026, proof of its longevity and success with treasure hunters and residents of Ténarèze.
Montréal-du-Gers is one of the first bastides in Gascony, founded in 1255. Classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, it retains an exceptional architectural heritage: its stone and wood arcades, its Gothic fortified church, its half-timbered houses, and its perfectly geometric central square. It is under these centuries-old arcades that exhibitors set up their stalls on the day of the flea market, offering visitors an incomparable treasure hunting setting.
The flea market of Montréal-du-Gers welcomes individuals looking to clear out their attics and cellars as well as professional dealers offering antiques, old furniture, tableware, trinkets, and collector's items. Pitches under the arcades cost €4 per linear meter, while open-air spots on the square cost €2 per linear meter. Entry is free for visitors.
Located between Condom and Fourcès, in the heart of the Armagnac region, Montréal-du-Gers offers an enchanting visiting experience. On market days, catering is available on-site, and the boulodrome (bowling green) parking provides easy access. Municipal restrooms are located at the boulodrome and in the Square d'Armagnac, 50 meters from the square.
