Annual traditional flea market on the large meadow and at the edge of the village in Sainte-Alvère
Each year in August, Sainte-Alvère hosts its traditional flea market on the large meadow and at the edge of the village. Between 50 and 100 exhibitors, professionals and individuals, offer a wide range of flea market items, antiques, and second-hand objects. The event takes place from 8 am to 5 pm and entry is free for visitors.
Sainte-Alvère is a medieval village in the Périgord Noir, now part of the new commune of Val de Louyre et Caudeau (postal code 24510). The village is world-renowned for its truffle market, held every Monday from December to March, attracting gourmets from all over the world. The old town, with its church, stone houses, and picturesque alleys, offers an authentic and charming setting for this summer flea market.
The Sainte-Alvère flea market is known for its warm and family-friendly atmosphere. The on-site catering at lunchtime, with drinks, crepes, and ice cream, invites visitors to extend their treasure hunting day. The large meadow, located at the edge of the village with views of the Périgord hills, offers a generous space for exhibitors and visitors.
Exhibitors wishing to participate in the flea market can register at the Sainte-Alvère town hall at 05 53 55 08 14. Further information is available at 06 79 46 74 83.
