Each year, the Halle Saint-Jean in Valence transforms into a large second-hand market for the solidarity flea market organized in conjunction with Secours Catholique. The event is driven by the association Le Cause Toujours, active in supporting people in precarious situations in the Drôme, and brings together volunteers and donors around a human and festive initiative.
Furniture, clothing, home linen, tableware, books, toys, and decorative items are sold at affordable prices. The items, collected from individuals and Valence businesses, are sorted, cleaned, and showcased by volunteers. Each purchase directly contributes to funding the reception services and emergency aid actions carried out by the association.
The Halle Saint-Jean, on Place Saint-Jean in the historic center of Valence, offers an ideal setting for this popular event. Traders, residents, and inhabitants from the entire Valence agglomeration gather each year to find good deals while supporting a useful cause. Access is free, and the day unfolds in a friendly atmosphere conducive to exchanges.
