On May 1, 2025, the village of Malataverne vibrated to the rhythm of its annual solidarity flea market. Under a spring sky, the stalls welcomed treasure hunters from neighboring towns in the southern Drôme: Montélimar, Châteauneuf-du-Rhône, Donzère, and other surrounding villages. Various objects, clothes, books, dishes, and trinkets found buyers in this relaxed and warm atmosphere typical of rural village festivals.
The solidarity spirit of the event gave a special dimension to this day of treasure hunting: beyond the transactions, it was a sense of community belonging that animated the participants, loyal to this annual event. The profits generated contributed to local actions supported by the organizers.
The solidarity flea market on May 1st will return to Malataverne on May 1, 2026, true to its convivial and solidarity-based mission.
