The Saint-Vallier Flea Market

Saint-Vallier organizes its flea market every year in May, one of the anticipated events of this town in northern Drôme. Saint-Vallier is a commune of about 4,500 inhabitants, a canton capital in northern Drôme. Its history is intimately linked to the Rhône and the glass industry: the BSN glassworks, then Saint-Gobain, employed a large part of the population for a long time, leaving significant industrial and human heritage. The town also has a rich medieval heritage, notably its castle and its Romanesque church.

Located about 45 km north of Valence and 30 km south of Vienne (Isère), Saint-Vallier is part of the Rhone valley, between the vineyards of Côte-Rôtie (on the Ardèche right bank) and the more industrial landscapes of the left bank.
