A charitable flea market for schoolchildren

The Brocante de Rignieux-le-Franc is organized every year by the Sou des Écoles of the commune. The profits from this event are entirely used to fund activities for schoolchildren in Rignieux-le-Franc: swimming lessons, end-of-year outings, and educational materials.

Rignieux-le-Franc, a village in the Plaine de l'Ain

Located in the Plaine de l'Ain, about 35 kilometers south of Bourg-en-Bresse and 40 kilometers northeast of Lyon, the commune of Rignieux-le-Franc is a rural village that has retained its authentic character. The lake and the village center offer a pleasant setting for outdoor events.

Two locations depending on the edition

Depending on the year, the flea market is held either at the lake (pond) or in the village center. The event traditionally takes place on May 8th, but the date may be shifted in some years. Admission is free for visitors. Refreshments and food are provided by the volunteers of the Sou des Écoles.
