Monthly flea market of antique dealers in the Jean-Jacques Rousseau district of Dijon
In the heart of the historic center of Dijon, the Jean-Jacques Rousseau district has been the haunt of Dijon's antique dealers for decades. Every third Sunday of the month, rue Auguste Comte, rue Chaudronnerie, and the surroundings of the Halles Champeaux host a quality professional flea market, organized by the Union Commerciale Quartier Rousseau Antiquaires, an association active since 1958.
The flea market is strictly reserved for professionals with a K-bis extract less than three months old and professional insurance. This requirement guarantees the quality and authenticity of the items presented: regional Burgundian furniture, art objects, paintings, earthenware, silverware, antique glassware, rare books, lighting, and curiosities. Discerning collectors regularly find remarkable pieces there.
The Rousseau district is located a stone's throw from the Palais des Ducs de Bourgogne and rue des Forges, in the protected sector of Dijon, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site under the Climats of the Burgundy vineyards. The medieval and Renaissance facades of the surrounding streets offer a sumptuous setting for this open-air flea market. The Halles Champeaux, built by the architect Ballard, add a remarkable architectural touch to this monthly event.
Admission is free for visitors. Exhibitors benefit from dedicated parking and a complimentary coffee. The stall fee is €25 for 5 linear meters. Registration closes one week before each date.
