Annual June flea market at the Salle Polyvalente les Pierrières in Puyréaux, 100 to 200 exhibitors
Every first Sunday of June, the commune of Puyréaux hosts its annual flea market at the Salle Polyvalente les Pierrières. Organized by the Cercle de la Jeunesse Rurale, this event brings together between 100 and 200 exhibitors for a day of treasure hunting in the Charente countryside. The event has become a landmark for bargain hunters in northern Charente.
Puyréaux is a small commune located in Ruffécois, north of the Charente department, between Ruffec and Mansle. This rural area, dotted with white stone hamlets and green valleys, retains a strong identity linked to agriculture and community life. The Salle Polyvalente les Pierrières, a modern and functional space, hosts this flea market in good conditions, with ample free parking.
One of the strengths of this flea market is its particularly attractive price for exhibitors: 5 euros for 8 linear meters per vehicle. The most motivated exhibitors can arrive as early as Saturday evening from 5:30 pm to set up their stalls. On Sunday, setup begins at 6 am and continues until 6 pm.
The Cercle de la Jeunesse Rurale provides drinks and food throughout the day. Volunteers offer simple and friendly meal deals, in the tradition of Charente village festivals. Restrooms are available on site, and a large outdoor area with free parking facilitates access to this rural flea market.
