Angles-sur-l'Anglin is perhaps Vienne's most beautiful village. Perched above the Anglin river, dominated by the spectacular ruins of its medieval castle, it has long been listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. In this exceptional setting, a spring brocante is announced for Sunday 5 April 2026 on Flanerbouger.

The setting makes all the difference: antiquarians set up in cobbled alleys around Saint-Martin church, along old houses and sometimes at the foot of castle ruins. Visitors combine treasure hunt and heritage discovery.

Angles-sur-l'Anglin, Most Beautiful Village

The village owes its charm to spectacular relief: built on both sides of the Anglin, linking upper and lower town by a remarkable bridge. Castle ruins of the Poitiers bishops dominate the valley. Below, old houses line the river — a postcard view famous across France.

Also known for the Roc-aux-Sorciers prehistoric shelter, one of Europe's most important, with listed Magdalenian sculptures. Interpretation centre offers a reconstruction.
