The great Beaujolais flea market in this medieval Pierres Dorées village, 35th edition
On Sunday 28 June 2026, Pommiers hosts the 35th edition of its annual flea market, one of the most beautiful and best-attended in the Rhône département. Since 1992, this event has established itself as a must-attend occasion for flea market enthusiasts from across the region. Hundreds of exhibitors set up each year in the lanes and on the square of this medieval village, offering a remarkable range of objects: antique furniture, tableware, clothing, books, vinyl, trinkets, toys and curiosities of all kinds. The scale of the flea market and the beauty of the setting make it one of the finest bargain-hunting days in the Beaujolais.
Pommiers is one of the gems of the Pierres Dorées country, that unique geological zone of the Beaujolais where local limestone takes on golden, ochre and orange hues in the light. This medieval village, whose history dates back to Roman times, is organised around an 11th-century Cluniac priory whose church and conventual buildings have been remarkably well preserved. Its winding lanes, golden stone houses, vaulted archways and shaded passages make it a picture-postcard village, regularly listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. The annual flea market fits perfectly into this enchanting setting, attracting thousands of visitors who come both to hunt for bargains and to stroll through this timeless village.
By car from Lyon via the A6 (Anse exit), then towards Pommiers via the D30. From Villefranche-sur-Saône via the D96 and D30. Parking near the village (shuttle buses possible on busy days).
