2025 Season of the Brocante de la Place du Bourg

From May to October 2025, Rodez's Place du Bourg hosted its professional flea market on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month. Twelve events took place between May 9th and October 24th, regularly transforming this emblematic square of old Rodez into an open-air antique and second-hand market.

Organized by the PReM association in partnership with the Cassiopée traders association, the flea market brought together up to 30 professional exhibitors at each event — antique dealers, second-hand dealers, and specialized merchants — from Aveyron and neighboring departments. Their stalls, set up from 7 AM on the square's cobblestones, offered from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM a diverse selection of antique furniture, collector's items, trinkets, tableware, paintings, light fixtures, and curiosities.

The architectural setting of the Place du Bourg — half-timbered houses, the Maison de l'Annonciation (a listed historic monument), Renaissance private mansions — provided a remarkable backdrop for these bi-monthly gatherings. The flea market Fridays punctuated the summer season in Rodez, complementing the cultural offerings of a city that hosts the Musée Soulages and its majestic pink sandstone Notre-Dame Cathedral. Free entry allowed a wide audience to enjoy this quality event, combining bargain hunting with heritage discovery in the heart of the Aveyron prefecture.
