Grand Flea Market at the Plane Trees Car Park in Carpentras

An essential Sunday rendezvous

Organised every Sunday by Ego Organisation since 2000, the Grand Brocante at the Plane Trees Car Park has become one of Vaucluse's largest weekly flea markets. Around 180 professional and semi-professional exhibitors lay out their stalls on the Jean Jaurès avenue, in the shade of the majestic plane trees. The location is strategic: a few steps from city hall, the cathedral and the synagogue.

Carpentras, capital of the Comtat Venaissin

Former capital of the Comtat Venaissin, a papal territory for over five centuries (1274-1791), Carpentras has exceptional heritage: Gothic Saint-Siffrein cathedral, Roman arch, Hermitage aqueduct, and especially its 14th-century synagogue, the oldest still active in France, witness to a Jewish community protected by the Avignon popes.
