Annual flea market on August 15th in Panilleuse, a village in the Vexin normand, Eure
Every August 15th, the village of Panilleuse organizes its annual Assumption Day flea market, one of the popular summer events in the Vexin normand. In this town on the Eure's limestone plateau, private sellers and antique dealers offer visitors a selection of various items: furniture, tableware, books, toys, clothing, and various curiosities. The public holiday on August 15th is an ideal opportunity to hunt for treasures in the calm of the Norman countryside.
Panilleuse is a commune in the Eure located on the Vexin normand plateau, between Vernon and Gisors. This limestone area with open horizons, flint and white chalk villages, and large cultivated fields alternating with copses, has a unique character on the border of Normandy and Île-de-France. The Vexin normand, a Pays d'Art et d'Histoire (Land of Art and History), attracts visitors from both Normandy and the Paris region for its summer events.
The Panilleuse flea market takes advantage of the Assumption Day long weekend to attract bargain hunters who combine a visit to the Norman countryside with a treasure hunt. Exhibitors offer furniture, tableware, old books, toys, clothing, and flea market items in a relaxed atmosphere. Free entry for visitors.
From Vernon (27200), take the D181 north towards Gisors; Panilleuse is about 15 km away. From Gisors (27140), take the D10 southwest.
Free parking in the village.
