Annual flea market and street sale organized by the ACIA in the city center of Jarnac
Each year, the ACIA (Association des Commerçants, Industriels et Artisans) of Jarnac organizes a flea market and street sale in the city center. This event combines a second-hand flea market and sales from local shops, offering visitors a full day of bargains in the pedestrian streets of this small town in Charente.
Exhibitors set up in the shopping streets of the city center of Jarnac, between Place du Château and the Charente quays. Individuals and professionals offer a wide variety of items: furniture, tableware, trinkets, clothing, books, and decorative objects. Local merchants also participate by holding sales in front of their shops.
Jarnac is a commune in Charente located on the banks of the Charente River, between Cognac and Angoulême. The town is world-renowned for its cognac houses and as the birthplace of François Mitterrand. Its city center, with its pedestrian streets, flowery quays, and cut stone houses, offers an elegant setting for a day of treasure hunting.
The Jarnac flea market is a unifying event that brings together residents and visitors in a friendly atmosphere. Cafes and restaurants in the city center take the opportunity to offer terraces and special menus, contributing to the lively atmosphere of this festive day on the banks of the Charente.
