Annual flea market-car boot sale organized by the Orchestre d'Harmonie Beaulieu Mandeure at the Centre culturel Jean d'Ormesson
Every autumn, the Centre culturel Jean d'Ormesson in Mandeure hosts the flea market-car boot sale organized by the Orchestre d'Harmonie Beaulieu Mandeure (OHBM). This event, open to both individuals and second-hand dealers, is one of the highlights of the associative calendar of this town in the Doubs, on the outskirts of the Pays de Montbéliard.
The Orchestre d'Harmonie Beaulieu Mandeure is a musical association rooted in the cultural life of the Montbéliard sector. By organizing this annual flea market, the OHBM raises essential funds to finance its activities: concerts, musician training, instrument maintenance, and running its music school. Every item sold directly contributes to the influence of music in the region.
Mandeure, formerly the Roman Epomanduodurum, is one of the best-documented Gallo-Roman cities in Franche-Comté. It houses the remains of an ancient theater and a 2nd-century sanctuary, classified as historical monuments. The Centre culturel Jean d'Ormesson, named after the novelist of the Académie française, is the town's multi-purpose hall, ideal for hosting cultural and associative events such as this flea market.
From the opening of the doors at 7 a.m., exhibitors and second-hand dealers set up in the hall and outdoor areas to offer their finds. Visitors can discover furniture, tableware, books, clothing, old tools, and collector's items throughout the day until 5 p.m. Admission is free. Information on how to register as an exhibitor is available from the OHBM by phone or email.
