Flea market and village festival in the center of Coulomby village
The Brocante Ducasse of Coulomby takes place in the center of this village of about 350 inhabitants, nestled in the Artois hills between Lumbres and Fauquembergues. The ducasse, a traditional communal festival of the North, is accompanied by a flea market that enlivens the village streets. The atmosphere is festive and village-like, with the inevitable fairground rides, refreshment stand, and on-site catering.
Coulomby celebrates its ducasse in July, combining the traditional funfair with an open-air flea market. The village center, with its square, church, and Flemish brick houses, offers a picturesque setting for this festive day. Individuals and exhibitors set up in the streets to offer flea market finds, trinkets, and second-hand items.
Coulomby is one of those discreet villages in the Boulonnais hinterland that give the Pas-de-Calais countryside its charm. Located on the heights between the Aa and Hem valleys, the village overlooks a hilly, bocage landscape. Its ducasse-brocante is a precious moment of communal life, maintaining social ties in these rural areas.
