Spring flea market in Le Pêchereau, near Argenton-sur-Creuse
The Brocante du Pêchereau is held every spring in this residential commune on the outskirts of Argenton-sur-Creuse, along the Creuse valley. Exhibitors offer antique objects, trinkets, and finds in the village streets, in a friendly village atmosphere.
Le Pêchereau (36200), a commune located on the left bank of the Creuse river, opposite Argenton-sur-Creuse, organizes its annual flea market every spring. Exhibitors take over the village streets to offer furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, tools, toys, clothing, and various second-hand items. The event attracts bargain hunters from the Argenton agglomeration and the Creuse valley.
Le Pêchereau is a commune of about 2,000 inhabitants that forms, with Argenton-sur-Creuse, a small agglomeration in the heart of southern Indre. The village stretches along the Creuse, an emblematic river that has carved picturesque gorges in the granite. Nearby, the Vieilles Maisons (Old Houses) of Argenton, with their wooden balconies overlooking the river, are among the most photographed sites in Berry. Le Pêchereau offers a pleasant residential setting between town and country, with direct access to the valley's hiking trails.
The Brocante du Pêchereau benefits from its proximity to Argenton-sur-Creuse, nicknamed the "Venice of Berry" for its half-timbered houses reflected in the waters of the Creuse. Entry is free and the day can be extended with a walk along the river.
The Brocante du Pêchereau returns on May 17, 2026, in the village streets. Free entry.
