Annual flea market on May 8th in the courtyard of the Carling school
Every May 8th, a public holiday commemorating the end of World War II, Carling organizes its annual flea market in the courtyard of the Pierre Ernst school complex, at 189 rue Principale. Individuals offer clothes, second-hand items, trinkets, and curiosities. The atmosphere is that of a village coming together around a popular and friendly event.
Carling is a municipality of about 3,500 inhabitants located in the Lorraine coal basin, between Saint-Avold and L'Hôpital. The town's history is inseparable from coal mining, with the presence of the former Bonne Fontaine pit. Today, the municipality is turning towards new economic activities while preserving the memory of its mining past.
Pitches are priced at €2 per linear meter, with a minimum of 5 meters for a standard car or 7 meters if you come with a utility vehicle or a trailer. Registration is online on the HBCCL website.
