On Thursday, May 1st, 2025, Place Saint-Macé came alive for the traditional Lily of the Valley flea market in Ferrières-en-Gâtinais. In the festive atmosphere of this spring public holiday, exhibitors had taken up positions around the historic square, in the shade of the imposing facade of the abbey church.
A diverse range of offerings was present: furniture and decorative items, antique tableware and table arts, clothing for all ages, books and magazines, tools, and garden items. The medieval setting of Ferrières – its half-timbered houses, cobbled streets, Romanesque tower – gave the event a heritage dimension that distinguishes it from all other flea markets in the department.
Taking advantage of the good weather and the public holiday, many visitors made the trip for this outdoor day combining treasure hunting and heritage discovery. The May 1st, 2026 flea market, also a Friday, is already marked on the calendars of Ferrières enthusiasts.
