The July 14th Flea Market in Sagone, Bastille Day by the Sea

Every year on July 14th, the seaside resort of Sagone celebrates Bastille Day with a large flea market and car boot sale that enlivens the seafront from 8 am to 8 pm. This festive event brings together private and professional sellers offering furniture, tableware, clothing, trinkets, and all sorts of second-hand items in a popular festive atmosphere.

The day continues in a convivial spirit with an aperitif offered by the municipality at the annexe town hall of Sagone at 7 pm, allowing everyone – sellers, visitors, residents, and holidaymakers – to come together in a spirit of national celebration. At 10 pm, the traditional fireworks display launched from Sagone beach illuminates the bay and concludes this festive day.

Sagone, Seaside Resort of the Municipality of Vico

Sagone is the seaside resort of the municipality of Vico, on the west coast of South Corsica. Located at the end of Sagone bay, between the gulfs of Liscia and Cinarca, this small resort offers a sandy and pebbly beach, clear waters, and a lively seafront in summer.
