Annual flea market on July 14th in the heart of the perched village of Marsanne
Marsanne is one of the most beautiful perched villages in the Drôme provençale. Perched on a rocky outcrop at an altitude of 400 meters, it offers an exceptional panorama of the Rhône plain, the Prealps, and, on a clear day, as far as Mont Ventoux. It is in this preserved medieval setting that the village's annual flea market is held every July 14th, a flagship event of the local national holiday.
The cobbled streets of Marsanne, lined with golden stone houses, provide a naturally suitable setting for the flea market. Exhibitors set up from the morning in the village square and surrounding streets, offering antique furniture, tableware, decorative objects, books, old tools, and various curiosities. The atmosphere is that of a village celebrating, where the flea market blends with the July 14th festivities.
Marsanne is also known for its wine region, with the Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph appellations nearby. On July 14th, local producers are often present to offer wine tastings, and Provençal specialties—tapenade, goat cheese, lavender honey—naturally find their place in the day's offerings. The July 14th flea market is thus much more than a market: it is a celebration of authentic Drôme village life.
The flea market is held on July 14th, a public holiday, in the village of Marsanne. Access on foot from the parking area below the village. Food and drinks are available on-site, provided by local associations.
