Expertise and treasure hunting every Monday morning in Albi
Located at 8B rue Antoine Lavoisier, in a quiet district of the UNESCO-listed episcopal city, the Brocante des experts has earned a prime spot in the Tarn's antiques scene. Organised by Brocante albigeoise (trading as Chasseur de Brocante), it gathers about ten seasoned dealers and experts every Monday morning.
What makes this event special is its combination of retail and appraisal. Visitors can bring objects for a free valuation, seek advice to sell, hunt or restore, and benefit from the sharp eye of professionals who have been scouring Albi's surroundings for years.
Antique furniture, bric-a-brac, ceramics, glassware, paintings, silverware, clocks, jewellery, old papers, postcards, books, vinyls, vintage toys and curiosities rotate from week to week. The offering is fed by estate sales and house clearances within a 50 km radius of Albi, with accessible prices and a few standout pieces for collectors.
The mood is warm and intimate, far from the hustle of larger Sunday markets. A lovely way to start the week with a heritage stroll in Albi, between the Sainte-Cecile cathedral, the Toulouse-Lautrec museum and the banks of the Tarn river.
Located at 8B rue Antoine Lavoisier in Albi (81000), within walking distance of the historic centre. Free on-street parking and public car parks nearby.
Every Monday morning from 10:30 to 12:30. Free admission.
About ten professional dealers hold permanent stalls; the pitches are not open to the general public. To sell an object, a free on-site appraisal can be requested.
