Large annual flea market reserved for individuals in the streets of Roupy
Every year in May, the small village of Roupy, located near Saint-Quentin, hosts one of the busiest flea markets in the north of Aisne. Organized by the Comité des fêtes, this event takes over the Mairie and Church squares, Grande rue, rue du Moulin, and rue Henri Poizot, offering a generous treasure hunt route through the village.
The brocante de Roupy faithfully attracts 200 to 300 private exhibitors each year for over twenty years. Pitches are allocated without prior reservation, on a first-come, first-served basis, at a rate of 4 euros for 3 linear meters. Entry via the D930 at the corner of Grande rue channels the arrival of vendors from 6 a.m.
Beyond the treasure hunt, the brocante de Roupy is also a village festival. Food stalls offer pastries, cakes, sandwiches, fries, merguez, sausages, and crepes. Toilets are available on site. This friendly atmosphere, combined with excellent visitor numbers, makes Roupy a popular destination for treasure hunters from the Saint-Quentinois region.
