August 15th Flea Market in Mangiennes, village festival in the north of Meuse
Every August 15th, the village of Mangiennes comes alive for its annual flea market organized by the Comité des Fêtes and the town hall. Approximately 74 participants set up their stalls on the church square and adjacent streets. You can find everything: old tableware, trinkets, books, tools, clothes, and collectibles. The space is offered at a rate of 1 euro per meter, making it a very accessible flea market for sellers.
The Mangiennes flea market is part of a larger village festival day. Beyond the bargain hunting stalls, visitors can enjoy rides in vintage vehicles for 2 euros per person, a refreshment stand, a food service, and children's rides. This varied program makes the day a popular family event for locals and visitors alike.
Mangiennes is a village of about 400 inhabitants located in the north of the Meuse department, between Verdun and Longuyon. The commune is situated in a hilly rural landscape, between agricultural land and forests. Local heritage includes a church overlooking the village square, the natural setting for the flea market. This rural area, still relatively undiscovered by tourism, retains an authentic character and a quality of life appreciated by its residents.
