The Brocante de Lignac takes over the center of this village in southwestern Indre for a day of treasure hunting in the heart of summer. Exhibitors offer antique furniture, pottery, earthenware, farm tools, copperware, books, toys, clothing, embroidered linens, and various flea market items. The summer season attracts both permanent residents and the many summer visitors who stay in this region, popular for its tranquility and preserved nature.
Lignac is a commune of about 550 inhabitants located in Boischaut Sud, a natural region of Indre characterized by a landscape of gentle hills, dense bocage, and deep valleys. The village is situated on the borders of Berry and Limousin, near the Anglin valley and its picturesque sites. The Romanesque church of Lignac and the stone hamlets surrounding it bear witness to an authentic rural heritage, preserved from major urban transformations.
