The Brocante de Fontanes (46240) is an institution in the department. Organized by the Club Amitié Loisirs de Fontanes, under the presidency of Jacky Chaubard, it is held every first Sunday of September on the occasion of the village festival. In 38 editions, this event has built a solid reputation as a quality village flea market in the Lot.

Up to 150 exhibitors in the streets of Fontanes

On the day of the flea market, the streets of Fontanes are transformed into a vast second-hand market. Up to 150 exhibitors set up from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the route de Laredole and in the adjacent streets of the village, offering the full variety expected of a quality flea market: antique and character furniture, tableware and table arts, old books and collections, clothing, tools, toys, and decorative objects of all kinds.

The longevity of this event testifies to the loyalty of the exhibitors and the public, who return year after year to this peaceful village in Quercy, located in the triangle Cahors-Figeac-Villefranche-de-Rouergue. Some exhibitors have been present since the first editions, giving the Brocante de Fontanes a rare human and warm dimension.
