Pentecost Flea Market organized by Fêtes et Loisirs Chavignon
Every Pentecost Sunday, the village of Chavignon, located on the Chemin des Dames plateau between Laon and Soissons, hosts its annual flea market. Organized by the association Fêtes et Loisirs Chavignon, this event takes over rue du Stade and rue Saint-Pierre, offering a pleasant outdoor setting for a spring treasure hunt day.
The Chavignon flea market brings together between 100 and 200 exhibitors depending on the editions, mixing individuals and professionals. Pitches are charged at 2 euros per linear meter, with mandatory registration with the organizing association. The stands offer antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, toys, vintage clothing, and various collectible items.
Chavignon is located in the heart of the Chemin des Dames, a significant memorial site of the First World War. The flea market offers a chance to discover this village rebuilt after the destructions of 1914-18, while enjoying the catering and refreshment stands provided on-site by the association's volunteers. Entry is free for visitors, from 6 am to 6 pm.
