Chalabre, medieval town of the Pays de Sault

Chalabre (11230) is a village of about 1,500 inhabitants, nestled in the Blau valley, on the border between the Aude and the Ariège. This small town of character, dominated by its medieval castle, is the capital of the canton of Chalabre and the capital of the Pays de Chalabre. At the gates of the Pays de Sault and the Pyrenees massif, Chalabre benefits from an exceptional natural environment between hills, forests, and rivers.
