In the gentle Juine valley at Janville-sur-Juine, one of Essonne's most picturesque flea markets is held each year: the La Chalouette Estate flea market. Set in the spacious grounds of the estate on Avenue du Château, this event offers its 80 to 120 exhibitors a green, restful setting far from the bustle of large urban sales. The day runs from 9am to 6pm in a relaxed, family atmosphere, with catering and facilities on site.

The Juine is one of Essonne's most remarkable rivers, rising in the Gâtinais and flowing through varied landscapes of cereal plains, bocage and wooded valleys before joining the Essonne at Lardy. The valley is known for its clear waters, rich wildlife and beautiful rural scenery, and is partly designated as a Natura 2000 area.
