Every May 8th, the public holiday is an opportunity for a great event in Martel (46600): the big flea market and car boot sale held in the Fontanelle parking lot. The event is organized for the benefit of the association Animation Enfance, whose collected funds finance outings and ensure the remuneration of the staff of the Martel leisure center.

A Car Boot Sale in the Heart of the Medieval City

The Fontanelle parking lot, located in the immediate vicinity of Martel's historic center, offers a generous and easily accessible space. Exhibitors — both individuals and professionals — set up their stalls from the morning, offering antique furniture, tableware, clothing, toys, and various flea market items. Visitors take advantage of this public holiday to stroll among the stalls and discover the magnificent medieval city with seven towers, classified among the most beautiful villages in France.

A Charitable and Friendly Event

The solidarity aspect of this flea market gives it a special character: each purchase directly contributes to the well-being of the children attending the Martel leisure center. A refreshment stand and fast food are available on site to enhance the day. The setup for exhibitors begins at 6:30 AM, and pitches are charged at €5 per linear meter.
