Grand flea market on August 15th in the streets of Juvigny-sur-Loison, in front of the abbey
Every August 15th, the Foyer Rural et Culturel of Juvigny-sur-Loison organizes its traditional flea market in the village streets. Stalls are set up in rue Basse, rue Devant l'Abbaye, and rue Grande, creating a treasure hunt route in the heart of this historic village.
Juvigny-sur-Loison is marked by the remains of its former Benedictine abbey, founded in the 7th century. The remnants of this monastery, which was one of the most important in the region, give the village a unique heritage character. The flea market takes place literally in front of these centuries-old ruins.
The village is crossed by the Loison, a small peaceful river that meanders through the meadows of northern Meuse. This bucolic landscape, between wooded hills and green valleys, makes Juvigny-sur-Loison an endearing place for lovers of heritage and nature.
