On Sunday, August 24, 2025, the Brocante and Vide-Grenier d'Aubin enlivened Place Jean Jaurès, the central square of this Aveyron commune in the Decazeville basin. The event, open from 7 am to 7 pm, brought together private sellers and craft professionals for a day of summer treasure hunting under the Rouergue sun.
The stalls offered a wide variety of goods: crockery, books, clothing, toys, furniture, trinkets, and collectible items. On-site catering was available with a breakfast of tripoux, an Aveyronnais specialty, served from 8 am, and a sausage-and-fries meal offered at noon. Admission was free for all visitors.
Aubin, a former mining town with nearly 3,500 inhabitants, offered visitors the opportunity to extend their day by discovering its remarkable heritage: the Fort and the district of Vieil Aubin, the 12th-century Saint-Blaise church, the Lucien Mazars Mining Museum, and the plateau des Forges du Gua with its listed monumental chimneys.
