The Brocante de l'Ascension de Lacs is a major event with around 250 exhibitors who take over the village center and its surroundings. This large-scale regional event offers a considerable choice: antique furniture, tableware, Berrichon earthenware, folk art, tools, books, vinyl records, vintage clothing, old toys, lighting, embroidered linens, ironwork, paintings, collector's items and rarities of all kinds. The Ascension weekend, ideal for getaways, ensures a large turnout from all over Berry and neighboring regions.
Lacs is a commune of about 600 inhabitants located in the Indre valley, between Châteauroux and La Châtre. The village is situated at the junction between the Champagne berrichonne and the Boischaut Sud, in a varied landscape that mixes open plains and early hedgerow valleys. The river Indre flows through the commune, offering a green and peaceful setting. The village retains a beautiful church and old stone houses. Lacs' geographical location, on the Châteauroux-La Châtre axis, makes it an important transit point and an ideal location for a large flea market.
The Lacs flea market takes advantage of the Ascension long weekend to attract visitors and tourists. Food and drink are widely available on site with Berrichon specialties. Admission is free and parking is organized.
The grand Ascension flea market of Lacs returns on May 14, 2026 with 250 exhibitors.
