Annual flea market in the streets of the village of Villegongis, between the Renaissance castle and the Berrichonne countryside
Every year in June, the streets of the village of Villegongis (36110) are transformed into a vast open-air flea market. The annual flea market takes over rue du Moulin and rue de la Maréchallerie, offering bargain hunters a discovery trail at the foot of the magnificent château de Villegongis. Exhibitors offer antique furniture, trinkets, tableware, books, tools, linens, and decorative objects in an authentic village atmosphere.
Villegongis is a small village of about 500 inhabitants located in the Champagne berrichonne, about fifteen kilometers northwest of Châteauroux. The town is known for its Renaissance castle, built in the 16th century, whose elegant architecture is reminiscent of the early Loire castles. Classified as a historic monument, it provides an exceptional heritage setting for this village flea market. The Romanesque church and the stone rural houses complete this preserved setting.
The flea market is held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 in the streets of the village. Free admission. Refreshments and food available on site.
