Flea market and second-hand market in Thérouanne, former episcopal city
Thérouanne has an extraordinary past for such a small village. Once the capital of the Morins, and the seat of a bishopric since the 7th century, the town was one of the most important in northern France before its total destruction in 1553. Archaeological excavations have revealed the remains of the cathedral and the episcopal palace, classified as historical monuments.
The Thérouanne brocante takes advantage of the historic setting of this commune with its prestigious past. Exhibitors set up in the village streets, offering second-hand goods, antiques, trinkets, and used items. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, typical of the villages of the inner Artois region.
