Large flea market and craft market in the heart of Feurs in September
The brocante and artisan market of Feurs is a major annual event held on the second Sunday of September in this former capital of Forez. The event combines a large outdoor flea market with a market of art and craft artisans. Feurs, a Roman city founded under the name Forum Segusiavorum, offers a remarkable heritage setting for this day mixing treasure hunting and craftsmanship.
Feurs, former capital of the Gallic people of the Segusiaves and a Roman city attested since antiquity, hosts its large flea market combined with an artisan market every year in September. The event takes over the town center and the main squares of this sub-prefecture of the Loire.
The peculiarity of this event lies in the association of a traditional flea market and a market of art artisans. On one hand, professional dealers and individuals offer furniture, tableware, trinkets, and antique objects. On the other hand, artisans present their creations: ceramics, woodwork, leatherwork, jewelry, textiles, and decorative art.
The city of Feurs preserves many vestiges of its Roman past, visible at the archaeological museum. The covered market and the shopping streets of the center offer a pleasant walk among the flea market stalls. Feurs is easily accessible from the A72 motorway.
The brocante and artisan market of Feurs returns on the second Sunday of September 2026.
