Historic flea market on August 15th in the town center of Guise, 36th edition in 2026
The August 15th Flea Market of Guise is one of the oldest and most renowned flea markets in Thiérache. In 2026, it celebrates its 36th edition, demonstrating the attachment of residents and bargain hunters to this unmissable summer event. Organized by the association Tous Unis Pour Animer Guise, it takes over the streets and squares of the town center with approximately 300 exhibitors.
The specificity of this flea market lies in its quality requirement: only amateur and professional flea market sellers and collectors are admitted. No new items can be offered, ensuring that visitors find exclusively authentic pieces, from everyday objects to rare collector's items.
Guise is a city with a remarkable history, dominated by the remains of an imposing 10th-century fortress and home to the Familistère Godin, a unique social palace built by the industrialist Jean-Baptiste André Godin in the 19th century. This exceptional heritage gives the August 15th flea market an incomparable cultural setting, between medieval architecture and industrial utopia.
Registration is done in advance, at a rate of €9 for 3 meters. Exhibitors must register and keep their receipt, which will be checked on the day of the flea market. The rigorous organization of the event contributes to its reputation as a serious and high-quality event.
