Every August 15th, the town center of Guise transforms into a huge flea market. Organized by the association TUPAG (Tous Unis Pour Animer Guise), this grand street sale brings together over 300 exhibitors in the city's streets, attracting more than 10,000 visitors for the day. It is one of the most important events of the summer calendar in Thiérache.

Flea market and antiques exclusively

The unique feature of this street sale is that it is exclusively reserved for flea market and antique items: no new items are allowed. This requirement guarantees the quality of the goods on offer and attracts true bargain hunters, who know they will find authentic items and collector's pieces here. Upon entry, proof of registration is required from each exhibitor.

Guise, historic city of Thiérache

Guise is a city steeped in history, known for its imposing 10th-century castle and its Familistère, a social utopia founded by Jean-Baptiste André Godin in the 19th century. The August 15th street sale takes place following the traditional Fêtes Ducales, giving this summer period a particularly festive character. The streets of the town center, lined with typical Thiérache brick houses, offer a picturesque setting for bargain hunting.

Registration and prices

Exhibitor registration takes place at 2 rue Chantraine on Wednesday mornings starting June 3rd. Pitches are available for €10 for 3 meters. No registration is possible on the day of the street sale. It is essential to include a stamped envelope to receive the receipt, which will be required on the day of the event.
