Antiques, flea market and contemporary art fair at the Halle Brassens in Brive
The Brassens des Antiquaires in Brive, a fair for antique dealers and second-hand dealers, is held annually in April over two days at the Halle Georges Brassens. This event brings together about thirty professional exhibitors offering antiques, second-hand goods, and contemporary art, in a complementary offering that appeals to lovers of fine pieces as well as the curious. Created five years ago by Alain Mazet, this fair has quickly established itself as a major spring event on the cultural and commercial scene of the Bassin de Brive. An entrance fee of €2.50 gives access to a varied tour where period furniture, art objects, paintings, and contemporary creations coexist under the vast covered hall of the Quai Tourny.
Every year in April, the Halle Georges Brassens in Brive-la-Gaillarde transforms into a vast fair dedicated to antiques, flea market finds, and contemporary art. The Brassens des Antiquaires, launched in 2021, has found its place in the calendar of Corrèze events thanks to an original formula combining three complementary worlds: classic antiques, quality second-hand goods, and contemporary artistic creation.
About thirty carefully selected professionals take over the covered hall for two days of discoveries. Renowned antique dealers, specialized second-hand dealers, and contemporary artists offer an eclectic panorama: period furniture, art objects, silverware, paintings, sculptures, ceramics, antique lighting, and modern works. This diversity attracts a varied audience, from discerning collectors to simple lovers of beautiful things, including interior designers looking for unique pieces.
The originality of the Brassens des Antiquaires lies in the dialogue between eras and styles. Antique stands stand alongside contemporary creations, creating stimulating visual contrasts and unexpected pairings. This carefully curated presentation distinguishes the Brive fair from classic flea markets and gives it a cultural dimension appreciated by visitors.
The Halle Georges Brassens, located on the Quai Tourny in the heart of Brive, offers a remarkable architectural setting for this fair. Its metal structure and natural light enhance the displayed objects. The Place du 14-Juillet, adjacent, offers free parking, facilitating access for visitors from all over Corrèze and neighboring departments.
The fair is open from 9 am to 6 pm on both days. The entrance fee is €2.50. Free parking is available at Place du 14-Juillet. For any information, contact Alain Mazet at 06 18 67 72 93.
