Jumble sale combined with the annual fair in Brindas, a residential commune west of Lyon
The Brindas Fair with Jumble Sale is one of the highlights of the year in this western Lyon commune. Every spring, the traditional fair is accompanied by a private sellers' jumble sale that attracts many exhibitors keen to sell clothes, toys, books, trinkets and all kinds of objects. Visitors flock from Brindas and surrounding communes to enjoy this double event in a festive and relaxed atmosphere. Children, families and seasoned bargain hunters all find their delight among the varied fair stalls and flea market displays.
Brindas is a commune of around 5,000 inhabitants in western Lyon, about ten kilometers west of Lyon, between Francheville and Messimy. A quintessentially residential commune, Brindas enjoys a pleasant living environment with its hills, green spaces and proximity to the heart of the agglomeration. The village is crossed by the Ratier, a tributary of the Garon, and sits in a transitional territory between the western suburbs of Lyon and the first valleys of the Lyonnais region. Brindas is also known for housing the Château de la Chèvre d'Or, an emblematic listed monument of the village.
Brindas is accessible from Lyon via the D342 through Francheville or the D50. Parking available in the village centre.
