In September 2025, the streets of Illiers-Combray once again vibrated to the rhythm of the traditional bric à brac organised by UCIAL Les Vitrines d'Illiers-Combray. From 6 am, private and professional exhibitors set up their tables in the historic town centre of this Proustian city. The day brought together many bargain hunters from all over Eure-et-Loir and neighbouring departments.
Antique objects, furniture, tableware, books, clothes, toys, and curiosities of all kinds filled the aisles of this open-air market, in a setting steeped in literary history. Sales continued until 7 pm, allowing everyone to fully enjoy this beautiful early autumn day in the town of Marcel Proust.
