The Soupir Street Sale: Treasure Hunting at the Foot of the Chemin des Dames

Every end of March, the small village of Soupir, nestled in the Aisne valley at the foot of the famous Chemin des Dames, hosts its grand spring street sale. Organized by the local Festival Committee, this event brings together over 100 exhibitors in the village streets for a day of treasure hunting and conviviality.

A Village Rich in History

Soupir is a place marked by the history of the First World War. Located at the foot of the Chemin des Dames plateau, this village in the Aisne was rebuilt after the conflict and retains an authentic rural character. It is in this setting steeped in memory that this popular street sale takes place each year, attracting bargain hunters from Laon, Soissons, and the surrounding communes.

Individuals and Professionals United

The Soupir street sale welcomes both individuals looking to clear out their attics and flea market professionals. Stall fees are affordable: €5 for 3 meters for individuals and €6 for professionals, with an additional €12 for electrical hook-up. The village streets are transformed into a vast flea market where you can find furniture, crockery, clothing, toys, and collectibles.

Entertainment and Refreshments

The Festival Committee ensures a full day with entertainment for children, a refreshment stand, and food service. Parking is available behind the stalls or at the football field when necessary, making access easier for visitors coming from further afield.
