Autumn street sale in the mountain village of Dabo
The Braderie de Dabo is an autumn event that attracts bargain hunters to this mountain village in the Moselle Vosges. Local merchants and exhibitors offer clothing, home goods, decorative items, and end-of-stock items at reduced prices. The event takes place in the village streets, in a friendly atmosphere.
Dabo is a village of 2,600 inhabitants perched at 450 meters altitude in the heart of the Vosges massif. Its famous rock, topped by a chapel dedicated to Saint Leo IX, an 11th-century Alsatian pope, overlooks the valley and offers a 360-degree panorama of the Vosges, the Alsace plain, and the Black Forest. The village, surrounded by fir forests and pink sandstone, lives from tourism and forestry. The autumn street sale is part of a rich calendar of events which also includes a flea market and a mountain Christmas market.
