Street sale flea market of Faubourg de Lyzel, organized by the Neighborhood Committee
The Lyzel neighborhood street sale flea market is a must-attend event of the Audomarois spring. Organized for over thirty years by the Lyzel Neighborhood Committee, it takes over Rue Saint-Martin in the Faubourg de Lyzel, one of Saint-Omer's historic districts. Shoppers will find an eclectic mix of flea market finds, clothing, trinkets, and everyday objects, in an authentic and warm neighborhood atmosphere.
Since 1995, the Lyzel Neighborhood Committee has been perpetuating this street sale flea market, which is the pride of the faubourg. Rue Saint-Martin is adorned with its finest stalls, mixing flea market professionals and neighborhood residents clearing out their cellars and attics. The atmosphere is friendly, almost familial, as only the popular districts of Saint-Omer know how to create.
The Faubourg de Lyzel, located northeast of the city, is one of Saint-Omer's historic gateways. This is where the road to Flanders once passed. Rue Saint-Martin, the main artery of the neighborhood, offers an ideal setting for this spring event that attracts bargain hunters from all over the Audomarois region.
31st street sale flea market of the Lyzel Neighborhood Committee on Sunday, April 26, 2026, Rue Saint-Martin in the Faubourg de Lyzel in Saint-Omer. Stall space at €2 per linear meter.
